North/West Tour : Day 15 : Seattle

After dropping off Josh Hawkins at the Portland International Airport we gather our bags and head 180 miles North to Seattle, Washington, home of David Gravette. Right off the bat, David takes us to the best spot in Seattle, a perfect hip and/or tranny to wallride. I said right off the bat like there was gonna be more exciting hammers to see… haha Sorry But I guess I could humor you with this photo of John White having no money in his pockets, let me explain. John and I have been to Vegas twice together but never really get into gambling however everytime we see a stuffed animal/claw machine we empty our pockets without hesitation.

North/West Tour : Day 14 : Portland

So its our last day in Portland and our tour guide Mike brings us to this butterific bump over bar. I (Jared Lucas) roll up to ollie it but 2 feet before the bar I realize I’m not going fast enough… I’m already squatted to pop but reconsider while I’m in the air, I completely tacoed the rail in front of half of Oregon’s scene. I clipped my thighs and package then summer salted over the rail and my phone and keys shot out of my pocket like bullets! Hardest slam ever!!! Never the less John White is hungry to get a couple last minute tricks for his Digital “Imagine” part and escapes injury free.

North/West Tour : Day 13 : Portland

Day 2 in Portland was full of hammers and great bust free spots, here is one of the 4 gems handled that day. Josh Hawkins switch kickflip as seen in his 411 video part Coming in Hot.

King of The Groms

King of The Groms
Congratulations to 11 year old Curren Caples… Winner of the Expert Bowl, Mini Ramp and Street Division!
The King of The Groms was an amazing event with over 90 kids from over 10 states all under 12 years old invade Skatelab last weekend where future legends battled for the title of King of The Groms. After the dust settled it was all Curren Caples. In the 10 year history of Skatelab they can honestly say that Curren Caples is the best 11 year old Skateboarder they have ever seen and will even go as far to say he is the best 11 year old Skateboarder in the world and they have seen tons of young rippers over the years. To see who else killed it check the official KOTG website.

North/West Tour : Day 12 : Oregon

Soon after departing the Hood River camp ground we meet up with our tour guide Mike at the Cal’s Pharmacy indoor skatepark. Good thing we met up at the indoor park because it rained for the majority of the day. The only spot we were able to skate that day was this perfect square handrail, unfortunately the janitor only allowed Jordan Hoffart enough time to warm up.
Tomorrow’s weather forecast is looking a little more promising.

North/West Tour : Day 11 : Portland

John White
After a great stay in Salt Lake courtesy of Jordan Williams family (thanks again!!) we are now Portland Oregon bound. After a few John White cigarette breaks and driving 700+ miles from Salt Lake, we decide it would be wise to set up camp and get some shuteye before the sunrise.
We all simultaneously woke up around 10 am and grateful our lives were spared by the sketchy lurking Hood River bears… John how ever almost had a rude awakening as he just about stepped on a snake near the tracks. Lucky for him his team manager (Jared Lucas) was there to save his life again…
